My name is Joe Glossop, I'm a professional piano player and teacher, I recently relocated from North London to Honour Oak.

As a piano teacher I like to focus on music I’m passionate about playing which is blues and soul, rock n roll and classic 60’s/70’s pop. I use engaging song based learning to get students stuck into playing the songs they want as soon as possible, filling in the theory as we go.

 

Students will learn to use their ears and build an understanding of chord/harmony relationships through direct experience. I don’t teach sight reading or grades. I like to tailor lessons to each individual student, always making sure we’re aiming at what they want to get out of the lessons and having fun as we go!

I play piano and Hammond organ professionally and have been lucky enough to tour worldwide and record with artists such as Tom Jones, Van Morrison and Paolo Nutini in over 20 years as a pro player.

Whether you are a complete beginner or a gigging player wanting to expand on what you do I can offer rewarding tuition with real value.
